Why does concrete set faster in Abu Dhabi's summer than the mix design predicts?

High ambient and surface temperatures accelerate the cement hydration reaction, so setting and early strength gain both happen faster than the same mix would achieve in cooler weather, which is why retarding admixtures and adjusted batching are commonly used in summer.
