Why does my gunite machine deliver material in pulses instead of a steady stream?

Pulsing delivery is almost always a sign of rotor or blow-chamber wear — as clearance opens up between the rotor and chamber wall, air leaks past the material instead of carrying it smoothly, producing an uneven, surging flow at the nozzle.
