Why does spray pressure drop on a mortar pump even when the motor sounds normal?

This is almost always rotor-stator wear — the stator lining wears from constant abrasive contact with the mortar mix and loses its seal against the rotor, reducing flow and spray pressure even though the drive motor itself keeps running normally.
